What a wonderful get away! It was a mini trip to the Scottish Highlands. The historic house has the ambience of a Scottish manor. Our room was large and very comfortable, decorated with period antiques and lush fabrics. The host was welcoming, giving us historic information as well as what to see and do in the area. Pride of ownership was apparent throughout the immaculate property. There is also a gift shop and art gallery that one must see featuring unique gifts from the Highlands, lodge pole cast iron products, and local Art.

This Bed and Breakfast was perfect for our family. The host was very welcoming from the moment we got a phone call to talk about our trip. He was kind and flexible.
The bed and breakfast is beautiful. It is decorated with artwork and antiques that portray its history so well. Very classy and clean.
We stayed in the room with the king bed and it was very comfortable. The bathroom is so nice. Our whole stay we felt right at home.
Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet and peaceful getaway.

Baxter Manor is a delightful, historical home that offers a step back into a simpler moment in time. Relaxing on a thick, carpet of green grass, under beautiful old shade trees watching small town traffic is a gift to be enjoyed. Anyone who loves small towns, historic homes, and a relaxing day will love this quaint boutique hotel.

We brought our little family of 4 down for a night and stayed in the Baxter Manor. It was a wonderful night it was so clean and cozy we felt right at home.
